It's been a really busy weekend with our new puppy, a yellow lab mix. He's eight weeks old and weighs about 20 lbs. We adopted him from a dog rescue in Albany, NY. What's funny is that we went for a chocolate lab mix that I thought I really wanted but came home with a different puppy but we couldn't be happier :)
We got him on Saturday and he's already done so much. He can move around in the car from the front to the back and stand up and look out the window. Rocky's also been to the park and the big dog's run. I was a little nervous at first. He can get on and off the sofa and can almost make it to the bed. Last night he slept in Lola's crate.
He's a little explorer... so inquisitive! He loves to chew on anything and everything he finds. Never seen a dog so fascinated with a mirror, I guess he thinks he sees another dog! But he's one smart cookie.
Now we have to train in him with the voice commands, which is going to be a lot of work. Right now he's laying in the crate and watching TV...
