Like hanna says, perfect composition! everything's right about this - the lighting, shadows, the lines and I really like how you (I take it that's you) juxtaposed so well with/ against the symmetry of the columns.
It's still a bit dark on my screen (and I think my display is on quite a bright setting compared to older monitors). I like your previous post better though - it's more unusual and interesting.
Were you (not) tempted to use the "grain" / "art" eff...
Well, the only illumination was a single candle so it was as dark as it looks.
I used some editing in PS but I avoid the most obvious effects like "paintstrokes". Mostly when I see them used it looks boring, just another photoshopeffect...besides it is a photo :-)
Interesting... did you mean it to be that dark?... and mimic a domino effect?
Hi!
It's meant to be quite dark like an old painting, but I realize it comes out very differently on different computers. Here, at home, it's just like I intended but at one computer at work it looked almost black. As for the composition, I meant for it to look a little random, like leftovers from a meal. I used to be in a mediaeval society and at the parties (banquets), still life like this could well appear spontaneously :-)
I'll post a new one today, see if you like that better...
Greetings Hanna
