Yeah, it takes practice but you seem to have it down rather well. These are wonderful! I've really just started playing a bit with mine so I'm a novice. Peace.........................

Well, you've certainly made it look easy! You have some great shots here, I particularly like #2, 3, and 10.

Im not going to say anything in the realms of critique or advice as a) I donu' have my macro yet and b) we I do get it (hopefully it arrives within the next week) I'm going to have the exact same problems as you...lol....practice practice practice. Its a totally different lens to become familiar with and we cant expect to be pulling out fabulous shots right away. Having said that, I don't see a whole lot wrong with any of these! They look fairly sharp to me....so after some practice I can only imagine the superb shots you'll get...What did you end up getting? :)

I think it is a beautiful set....I really like 3,4,5,6 and 7! I just started, so I'm afraid I have no constructive advice for now....For someone who just bought a new lens, I'm sure this is really good and the results can only become stunning :)))))

Good shots, I have no great advice. Trial, error, practice, repeat :-) I really like the way #5 looks!

Macro photography is so cool you are going to get so much fun with this. i havent shoot macro with real lenses i only use my macro from my compact so its kind of easy to focus (or to use manual focus). i like #8, in the nature ones, pls get closer and closer haha, have fun with the new lens !!

i think these are GREAT macros!! i especially love #1 and #3!! and you have eyes just like mine! mine are orangish in the center, then green, then a dark green ring on the outside. we are too cool. and i'm so honored that you call my signature on a baseball an autograph! i didn't know i was that popular... oh wait, that's not my signature... and i have no idea who's it is! but i'm thinking i should give you mine too :-)

These are awesome! I think you are doing great. The best advice I can give is that the closer you get to things, the more shallow your depth of field will be. I always use a tripod with my macro lens and that gives me the freedom to shoot at F22 or even F32/F40 when I need to and my shutter speeds drop to 1/2 a second or even slower. It all depends on what you want to focus on and how much you want sharp. My second piece of advice is to just play with it! I love my macro lens. It opened up a whole new world!

ummm TCC .... these are AWESOME! You are toooooo much of a perfectionist, although, I don't see anything wrong with any of these shots! Here's some advice: slow down! Remember, you're not shooting sports. Set up the shot, stop down the lens, set your self timer, press the shutter and grab a cup of coffee! =) Things slow way down when you're in the world of macro shooting. That's a cool ball, btw ... Edgar baby! Congratulations on your new lens. Do you need to borrow my tripod?!
