Where Does the East Wind Blow?
Well today officially marks my 1year here at 'photoblog'.
What got me started were 3 things:
1)An inherited passion for photography from my father & uncle
2)A dear friend Ms.Lisa Han
3)A purchased Sony-T10 (named 'The Pearl')
I decided to make this post something dreamy & carefree in the sunshine.Simply I guess that's the type of person that I am.Took these shots in front of a family friend's house;in his front garden. The day was gorgeous and these dried dandelions were simply irresistible.
At the moment I just post up raw shots(unedited) & some collages here&there. This is simply because am not too hyped up just yet about the softwares.Besides I still consider myself an amateur.I may in the future play around with some minimalistic softwares and then later progress on.My aspiration is to be able to be an all rounder photographer-hopefully someday finding my niche in a specific industry/category.
I plan to re-customize my page and maybe in the future watermark my photos with a different name.
My journey here has been amazing, connecting with friends from around the globe, understanding passion for photography to a greater level(different personalities, different styles, different mode),learning new cultures, picking up languages, learning, appreciating and of course just being in awe of the beautiful photographs I see.
From the bottom of my heart I take this opportunity to thank everyone for their encouragement, comments & critiques. It has definitely built me into more than what I used to be.It pushes me-gets me to be more edgier and also be my own worst critique.
This place will always be treasured, a reminder to chase one of my dreams-have my first solo poetic photography outdoor exhibition.
“You cannot forget if you would those golden kisses all over the cheeks of the meadow, queerly called dandelions.”
Henry Ward Beecher quotes (Liberal US Congregational minister, 1813-1887)
