Today we took a train to La Spezia to catch a boat that took us up the Western Coast of Italy to the Cinque Terre. The day started off overcast and a little rainy even but soon cleared up and even ended sunny.

The boat brought us to Portovenere then docked in each of the towns up to Monterosso where our hotel was. The coastline was breathtaking and we made plans to visit Portovenere next time because it looked so quaint from the boat.

When we arrived the whole family had lunch and shopped a little before breaking up and exploring. Rob and I went over to the "new" side of Monterosso and got some great shots of the beach and the water before sharing a warm slice of foccacia. On the way back we took a detour up the cliffside and found a church and cemetary at the top that overlooked the town. It was amazing and eerie at the same time.

Later that night we re-grouped for dinner and then we met up with Corey and Uncle Wes for late night Gelato!
