Nucleation of gas bubbles on my beaker.

On August 14, I have an exam in physics (thermodynamics and electromagnetism) !!

If what I say here is stupid and wrong, please tell me the truth, because I want to succeed this exam ;) !

End of the story : I succeeded ! Thanks for your supports !

Thibaut ho my god What is the second principle .... !!!!
... my first idea is deltaS (variation of entropy)=>0 ...
It is so basic that it is not in the book !! lol ... I'm supposed to know that, it is the base ...
Last year we saw that principle like this "It is impossible to convert heat completely into work". I think if it's possible to convert heat completely in work, deltaS <0 (no physical sens) or delta =0 (reversibility, nothing happens). So it is impossible. Is it right ?

But I'm not sur ... my prof is not interested so much in this part of thermodynamics. I see that in chemistry. (It is for the next week, the exam of chemistry!! lol) Hoo god please, I want to succeed, I don't believe in you but help me ;))

Thibaut Now I answer to the real question, the second law is the evolutionary power because the second low is defined by deltaS=>0 and this is the increasing evolutionary of the entropy no?

Actually I don't understand what you call "evolutionary power". I know that a spontaneous mecanism evolves without any possilibity of reversibility. One more thime, that involves the second law : deltaS=>0

In english it's more complicated (and my english is too bad ... )

nadoune Fantastic shot ! good work !!!!
nadoune · 2007-08-12: 15:47
Thibaut wow .. i understand. Yes, he will never ask me this ! ;) Are you a physicist? Good comment, it's an interesting way of seeing life. When my english will be better, I will be able to philosophize with you. Now, i go to bed ! ;)

Agodashi Really nice shot!! LOVE!!

longimanus I am afraid I can not get into the conversation about thermodynamics and evolutionary power, but your shot looks extraordinary! What liquid is that? I wish you great luck with your exam! (by the way, your new profile pic is cool... the old one was great too)

Thibaut It's just ice tea ... ;)

Lynda Physics was my worst subject at school and I can't follow the scientific stuff above but your photo is very creative using the water and the shadows of your fingers like that.
