2 out of them stepped on the "staircase to heaven" once upon their arrival.....
They have rescued tens of the residents including the blinded old man in this shot
One of the firefighter was found fainted at the staircase leading to the roof floor. He was certified dead later.
This commander is 43 and he has a wife and a 12-year old daughter
He is 25 and has joined the Fire Services Department for 1 year. He shared his oxygen container for old lady in the fire scene and he suffocate and passed away later near the roof floor. He is the most brilliant trainee when he was in training campus.
The colleagues were very sad when they received the bad news that 2 of their members passed away......
The parents of the sacrificed firefighters were miserably sad at the fire location.

Mourning for the sacrificed colleagues

Great set. I think they are the best you could capture, considering the situation. You captured the drama & the sad feelings of the people. I like #1 at most, love the line composition constructed by the building's structure & the stairs of the firefighters. Mourn for the Heroes ...

This is such a touching set. The photos are great and so much detail, wonderful job you did. So sad that people lost their lives. Firefighters and others risk their lives everyday for people and they are heroes. My favorite is #18.
