The Colour Green
I like colourful colours such as yellow or blue
But they aren't the best- sadly, it's true.
"So what is?" you ask, "perhaps orange or red?"
But no, it's not any you've said.
"Well purple is a mighty fine color"
"Yes," I say, "but not as fine as the other."
It is unique- it will never be jaded
Not like a pair of ripped jeans that are faded.
Black is great for the darkness of night,
Or the pickpocketer with his hand of sleight,
But green, will hold a place in my mind,
A place that i will always go to find....
Freshness and coolness, like minty leaves,
Before, like wheat, dries out into sheaves,
Living, breathing, refreshing......
GREEN is the best! It's happy and bright-
but also can take on shades of the night
