#70/365: We got Buttons when she was nine months old - got her for a discount actually because of she was no longer a puppy. It might have been more of a rescue, however, as she did have issues; she'd cower if people would come up to her too quickly and she'd sneak a nip at men's ankles when they weren't looking - just men however...

It probably took me about a year before she stopped being afraid around me, but she pretty well immediately became my wife's dog and gave her unconditional love and loyalty. Buttons is the dog that my wife always wanted as a child - the dog who will sit all day at the back steps waiting for her to come home from scrapbooking.

But then it's only fair - my wife is obviously the owner that Buttons always wanted too...
