We left Havana to go to the West of Cuba, to the province of Pinar del Rio. First stop on the way was Las Terrazas, an eco-community. The hills are full with palm trees and there were cute little cottages along this artificial lake.

We reached Viñales later that afternoon. Here it seems, time stood still for decades. Hardly any motorized transport. People still use horses and carriages, ox cars and bikes. Only a few minutes from the little village, we already found this tobacco plantation. In this area of Cuba most tobacco is grown.
