12 hours on the bus to Santiago de Cuba

And then the bus broke down after we were on the road for less than an hour...

Watching the empty road was all we could do.

The buffalo did entertain us a little.
After 14 hours we arrived in Santiago, at 22:00. We were happy we made reservations at a hotel, though the hotel turned out to be more of a brothel. Whoops!! The rooms were clean (thank heaven!!) and the walls sound proof(ish), so we slept like babies.

A BK in Cuba? That's like the Pope being a buddhist... they do have their own fastfood chain 'El Rapido', but that wasn't next to the hotel.

Not in Cuba, you recognise the brothels by the fat white tourists with sandals and white socks. *shudder*
