Time to leave Trier and take the train to the heart of the Black Forrest: Freiburg! A lovely old student city surrounded by green hills. This square has the big church Münster on it. They were renovating it.

Cute narrow streets with pretty towers at the end.

They even have canals!!

Having dinner and beers at Pension Paradies at night. We were supposed to stay at this place as well, but when we turned up they were overbooked. So they arranged for us to stay at a hotel just up the street, more luxureous for the same price! And the good part was that we still could have dinner at Paradies, as their kitchen was fantastic!
