Breukelen

My Saturday cycle took me to Breukelen. Yes, Brooklyn was called after this tiny village along the Vecht river just 12 kilometers from where I live. Along the river on the way to Breukelen you see huge mansions that have little gazeebos (sp) along or in the water.

Nijenrode, the best business university in The Netherlands. Great politicians have studied here. When you study business or economics there you actually live on this campus. What a drag...

Another large house with a gazeebo along the water. Looked so pretty and quiet.

Many houses are along the Vecht river, so many people have a boat laying by their house.

Absolutely gorgeous pics! We are planning a week's holiday in The Netherlands in spring next year - will have to pick the PB Dutchies' brains for ideas like this!
