'Heerlijk avondje' is what we call the evening Sinterklaas is celebrated. Sometimes you get pressies that are not so serious. Here I got a board with my name in crayons. My dad was very creative that way!

My mum unwrapping her cake. I think she liked it.

And my sis was quite pleased with the tin with muffins and cookies.

I just love how in The Netherlands for Sinterklaas people just get so creative with making little presents personal to the giftee - it's such a change from the rampamt commercialism of Christmas gifts in other countries.
