Birthday Ice Creme Cake

For K's actual birthday I made him an ice cream cake. The colors are a little off in the picture. The candy letters are really (well were) red and yellow and the icing(whipped cream) was more of a yellow. It didn't matter what it looked like it was gone within 10 minutes of the first cut.
This was really easy to make. Take a box of banana split flavored ice cream sandwiches layer the bottom of a loaf pan with them (cutting to fit if necessary), then add a layer of whipped cream, repeat a layer of ice cream sandwiches freeze for about 1 hour. turn out of the pan on to serving platter. Ice as you would a cake using whipped cream. Then I drizzled chocolate sauce on it . Freeze until ready to serve cut, eat, and enjoy.
