Day 189: Peering Inside A Pine Tree

This tree has a gash in its trunk, either from losing a branch or some other event. The gash has been there for a while, and it has allowed the sap to seep out, creating a yellow patch on the tree.
The yellow contrasts nicely with the brown/gray of the tree's bark.
