Day 92: Post Op Day 12 - Working From Home Again

2008.04.01

I was exhausted after the day yesterday, especially when you throw in the PT appointment at the end of the day. PT was good - we got even more extension, though not to 0 degrees yet (I think we measured 3.5 degrees at the end of the session). I even got to ride the stationary bike, with modifications. The clinic just got these pedals called "RangeMakers", that replace the standard pedals on a bike and shorten the radius of the circle that the pedals turn in. So the radius of the circle I was pedaling was like an inch - seriously. It felt like I was riding a clown bike or something similar. All the work was done by my good leg, with my left just along for the ride. I only did it for about 5 minutes, before the knee started getting tight and swollen, but it felt good for those 5 minutes. We also did more muscle massage (calf this time), quad work, and I got electrocuted with the e-stim machine to try and get my quad firing. The good news is, it is firing, sort of. Better than before, that's for sure! Any progress is good at this point.

Anyway, when I got home, I was exhausted, and hurting, and since my boss had said I should still be at home, I decided to do so on Tuesday. Wireless internet is a glorious thing.
