Day 237: GM's RenCen In Detroit

On our tour of downtown Detroit today, we walked along their riverwalk (waving to Canada, eh? on the other side of the river). One of the centerpieces of the developing downtown Detroit area, and the riverfront, is General Motors' Renaissance Center, or RenCen as the locals call it. It is a collection of buildings with this massive glass structure as the center. On the street side, there is a peoplemover that you can take to get to various downtown locations (arenas, baseball & football stadiums, etc.). Even though GM's financial situation is not ideal, they sure have a cool building!
