Fado is a typical Portuguese music genre and is inscribed since 2011 in the Unesco Intgangible Cultural Heritage Lists.
Fado is a word that comes from the Latin word “fatum”, which meant fate, destiny and the music is characterized by mournful tunes and lyrics, mostly about the sea, a hard life, a sentiment of resignation, melancholia and longing.

Voilà un portrait bien émouvant . Ici nous n'avons pas le Fado ... Nous avons un genre "apparenté" , "Gwerz" ... Wikipédia ... ***In Breton music, the gwerz tells a story which can be epic, historical, or mythological. The stories are usually of a tragic nature. The gwerz is characterised by an often monotonous melody and many couplets, all in the Breton language.
