News & Notes dated 09.08.08 appeared as follows:
An open invitation to Auroville children and their parents
On Sri Aurobindo’s birthday (Friday, August 15th) Matrimandir will welcome children (age: 4+) and their parents for a visit to the Peace area between 10 am and noon.
You may enter from the gate near the Matrimandir office complex. Should you have questions there will be several Aurovilians under the Banyan tree to assist you. Shoes may be left at the north entrance to the structure.
The Lotus Pond beneath the structure has been uncovered and will remain so. Two petals (Progress and Courage) near the Mahakali (north) entrance will be open. For those children who specially like to visit the Chamber we remind parents that Mother specifically asked for silence and no talking inside. You will be the best judge of whether or not your child is ready for that.
Please give your feedback to the Access Team if you would like to have such visits arranged more frequently.

Taking that note as a cue, Nangai, Dhwani, Uma and myself visited Matrimadir for that entire morning observing the goings...
so, the results... to start with LOTUS POND today and more in the coming days....
