Cherry Blossoms (Sakura) - Tokyo and Shimoda (Japan)

2007.05.07












I was in Japan early April and was very fortunate to catch cherry blossoms in full bloom. Although Japan is known for it's beauty and variety of sakura trees, they are only in full bloom for about 4 - 5 days per year (according to a Japanese friend).

Hence, we were very privileged to be there at the right time.

These are a selection of photos taken during my recent trip there.
