A 400mm zoom with a crop factor of 1.6 is equivalent to a 640mm zoom. Far enough for people not to notice and to stay out of trouble :-) Having said that, before my long zoom, I got cursed and chased away by an old Chinese man from a small island off Singapore (Ubin) as I think they believe a picture taken takes something out of their soul or something. Hence, the investment in the long zoom.

Hehe ... I like his frown. Makes me wanna frown too. One question (I am very new at this!): taking pictures of strangers is one thing but what about putting them up for exhibit in public?
