I did a terrible thing today. I went to the zoo without the grandchildren! I promised my son-in-law, "don'tblink" that I would not trespass on his photographic specialty, the flamingos.

I lied.
My intention was actually to visit the botanical gardens at the zoo to see the plants and flowers. |
I took the tram across the river, through the woods and up the big hill to the gardens. Right in front of the visitor's center was this very photogenic plant.

Flamingos! How dare you. lol. I like the cactus, especially the closeup in #5. The blue glass is really cool too.

Pretty good - thirteen zoo shots and hardly an animal in sight! My favorite is #11 - could sit in one of those chairs and enjoy the arrival of spring!!

Lots of neat shots, and I liked all of them. But I was laughing out loud at your comments regarding the flamingos. And I had no idea you were Brian's mother-in-law. How cool! It's nice to meet another member of the family.
