#193 Watching for the sunrise, turning teardrops into gold...

2007.11.27

Hummm.... this song is a good way to describe my day/week... Right about now, things are bitter sweet... football over, I have moved, the husband has not moved, we are in temporary housing, (still looking for a new house), things are just sort of crazy. Negatives: not my own house, not my own rules, too many sets of rules for kids, slightly out of routine, hard naps, different faces, etc... Positives: we wanted to move, joined a gym with daycare (wahoo!!), have more opportunities, am back with friends, getting out of "nowhere"....

Went to a basketball game tonight with ccrowe13... it was fun and both the kiddos did great (til jake had a mini meltdown at the end... another story... sometimes I am like "who is this and where is my child"!!) "The team" lost or rather gave it away.... so that was sort of bummed too..

oh well... at least I got a shot of jakey in sheer joy!!! He and sissy have sooo much fun together. In this shot he was looking at her.... they are WAY too rough, WAY too crazy, and WAY too much fun!!

(wow, I totally rambeled on too much.............)

I'm falling by the wayside
I'm sinking with the sun
everything I do
is wrong wrong wrong

gazing at the billboards
staring down the broken lines

sleeping on the backseat
I could not believe
you were right up there beside me
tugging at my sleeve
and putting up your lipstick
just like you did a thousand times
and something in your eyes that makes me smile
oh yeah
something in your eyes that makes me smile
oh yeah
I wake up in the darkness
its more than I can stand
I’m reaching out to touch it
it breaks up in my hand
I’ve never known the headlights
to shine so cold

I’m waiting for the morning
to steal over the hills
I’m urging for the road
to speed these wheels
I’m watching for the sunrise
turning all the teardrops gold

cause something in your eyes that makes me smile
oh yeah
something in your eyes that makes me smile
oh yeah
and something in your eyes that makes me smile
oh yeah
oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah etc.

vollenda It's good to ramble sometimes. :) I hope things get smoother soon and you're all back together.

This shot of jakester made me smile. In fact, I can always count on your kids to make me smile. Thank you for that. :)

chipotle change is always discomforting. even when it is exciting. hold tight.

longimanus It is so amazing how children adapt.... Jakester looks so happy (and beautiful as always) and dont seem to care about the big changes. And this is good so! I hate changes myself - even thought, sometimes they turn out to be positive! I hope you find all the positive sides! (may I ask why did you need to move?) Oh, and I envy you for the gym with the daycare :)
