But before I go celebrating the beginning of a new year, there is one more thing I need to share; a special ballet performance of The Nutcracker (inlcuding beautiful music by
Tchaikovski).
This play was performed in a 'big' church by a
dance company (based in my hometown) and is a joyfull collabrotation between
children, amateur dancers, as well as
professional dancers.
What I love about ballet performances is how it reminds me of my own sport:
bouldering. (But without the big
boulders and the
adrenaline rushes.) It's just the pure beauty of very complex body movements while dancing in a show. And just like climbing, it's all about
balance and
elegancy. And I can't keep my eyes off it :-)
