Heeeyyy

So this morning I woke up to a rather peculiar welcome mat... some very hilarious girls decided to stack a few books just outside my door so that when I opened it in the morning they all came crashing in. Ha apparently they only stacked them about waist high but after the boys came back from being out partying they proceeded to stack them higher than my head. Lucky for me only a handful actually fell into my room the rest spilled out into the hallway, so I just stepped over the remaining stack, got ready, and then left to go hiking!

We arrived at the national park at about 10:30 a.m. and were immediately giddy to see wild kangaroos deep in the woods (thinking we might see some during our hike) well weren't we pleasantly surprised to be welcomed by a couple at the base of the hike! We hiked for about and hour and a half up a... sort of mountain. The view was pretty spectacular, in the distance we could see a waterfall flowing down into a gorge that we ended up hiking to later. After descending the mountain we were all starving so Janelle and Greg whipped us up some burgers :) Though the burgers were delicious my favorite part of our lunch had to be when we were visited by a number of kangaroos. Janelle brought along some carrots to see if the roos would actually come closer to us and they sure did! I kept thinking, holy crap I'm actually touching a wild kangaroo. SO cool :):)

Afterwards Janelle and Greg took us to an absolutely stunning winery to do a quick wine tasting. It was a little rushed but definitely worth the stop! We just got back home to the P&O with plenty of time for a nap before we go out tonight :) More on that tomorrow...
