SCB Tokyo Trip 2008 (Day 1 of 5).

Day 1 - Visit to Asakusa Temple and Shinjuku

After flight of 8 long hours, we finally touched the land of the rising sun, Japan… excitement filled everyone the moment we get a taste of the chill weather. Everyone starts to put on their winter clothing… and waited for what Japan prepared for us…

Without wasting time, we headed to Sensoji (also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple), a beautiful temple with a big lantern hanging at the main entrance of the temple. In front of the temple, a long 200 meters of stalls selling souvenirs, ranging from key chain, fridge magnet to delicious food nicely packed. As we allocated only a short and sad 1.5 hours for this destination, everyone started buying, shopping for their love ones.

Our next stop was Shinjuku, metropolis of Tokyo. The population density was so high that every where is packed with people… the distance between buildings was less than 5 meters, unlike Malaysia. We hang out around this area for another 3 hours and then headed for dinner at restaurant Mo-Mo Paradise.

I got myself a watch here… hooray…

That is it… a day in Japan and we were then checked in to Le Meridian Hotel around 8 pm. After 2 hours of refreshing ourselves at the hotel, we strolled around the hotel for food… We landed at a nice shop selling ramen… the most delicious ramen I ever had which cost us less than 800 yen.

Day 2 – To be continue…
