Is this Yunnan Province? Would you recommend this area for travellers? Did you think it is spoilt by tourism? (I think i have heard that the tourist development is a something of an atmosphere and charm killer?) Your pictures are interesting.

yes yunnan province... the atmosphere is just remarkable... spoiled by tourism? erm... not really... all the building still remain the same... just that nowadays they convert the houses into inn and restaurant as well as pub... you can experience by staying in one of the inn... basic facility like fan and shared toilet...
