This is my first attempt doing focused flash work. I learned a lot. Unfortunately I don't have time to go into it now. However, I will be doing more work based on what I learned and will go into detail then. What I can say at this time is that flash isn't all that effective in an expansive area. Basically the light was eaten up fairly quickly in the alley. I still had to use long exposures to get the photos. However, overexposing with the flash did create some neat effects. The three photos below are my favorite from the shoot. Don't get me wrong the flash helped some, but not enough that I couldn't shoot w/out my tripod.
