Electro nerds are cool

This Friday I was at an electronic festival in Eindhoven, called STRP. Strijp is a neighbourhood in that city. Dutch and foreign artists made great electronic art pieces. There was great music too!! Ex-Moloko Roisin Murphy, DJ Sebastien and super DJs Modeselektor. Unfortunately, the latter was programmed too late for me. I was exhausted.

Very cool balloon project. Every of the 100 balloons, set up in a 10 by 10 square, where attached to thin ropes and small machines on the ground. The machines attached to the balloons would let them go up or down and also beamed an individual light on the balloons (still following?). A computer programme would let all the balloons make movements like in a choreography.

To me, it looked like a grass field made from black sticks with lighted tips responding to touch and sound.
