In Loving Memory of My Dear Belle

2008.06.17

It has been 2 years...
I still miss my Dear Belle a lot.
There's not a day gone by without thinking of her.
No matter where is she now, I believe she is enjoying a happy life.
And I know we will meet again one day.
Love you, Belle.
Thanks for everything.

Beagles3 I am so sorry for your loss of such a beautiful beagle! I love all of the photos. She looks like she was an awesome friend. I am sure she is at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for you......

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

fannyklf When I was keeping JoJo, dogs I met on the road usually played with me. They wag their tails, lean on my legs. Two years ago, JoJo died, after living with us for 15 years. I missed her so much and so afraid to keep any dogs anymore. Someone told me that if I see any dogs and say "JoJo", and the dog response to me happily, that will be JoJo in her new life. I tried, but no dogs come close to me ever after. So, I started to believe the say of the "rainbow bridge". She is waiting for me there happily.

I have her ashes besides my bed. I bought her flowers every year on her birthday and the day she left. I don't want another dog as I am afraid I will forget JoJo. After fostering my friend's dog for 2 weeks, I know I won't forget her even if I have another dog. And it is meaningful to give hand to the others, otherwise, they may complain to JoJo if they go to the rainbow bridge, hahaaaaaaa. Now I have just adopt a golden retriever last Saturday. She brings me so much joy. JoJo is happy for me, I think.

Hopes you can come out from the dark too. Belle would like to see your happy face.
