I wanted to document my trip better, but I just got so far behind in my updates that it will be about impossible lol. We made our way to my dad's house. I haven't seen him since July 2005, so it was good to see him. That and Ryan has never met him until now. Those two hit it off, I tell you, like two peas in a pod. I think they talked to eachother more than to me! I was really glad that they both liked each other. Ryan was SUPER nervous especially since he JUST asked me to marry him the day before, but everything turned out perfectly.
We got there a bit later than we wanted to, our stupid GPS told us some old back road instead of the one I'm used to and it had been so long since I'd been up that way that I let the GPS second guess my instincts. When we got there, Dad and Terry (his girlfriend of like 7 years who I hadn't even met yet) were out at the camp fire. Dad got up and shook Ryan's hand and introduced himself and hugged me. We went in and settled in the guest room and hung out in the kitchen waiting for dinner. We had some take n bake pizza and talked for hours and hours.
I kept sort of hiding my ring finger and after Terry went to bed and Dad was on his way I was all "look what Ryan got me." And he was all "Is this the real thing?" And I said, "Yeah, Ryan asked me to marry him last night." And he said. "Alright! You made a fine choice!" and shook Ryan's hand. We went to bed, man was I exhausted.
