Good luck on your dream of getting there. I have a friend who lives there. She moved there from IA after she married. She has sent me pictures and the scenery from her backyard was very beautiful...but it's not all snow and ice like you would think (or at least how I imagined it to be). I'm the opposite...I hate cold, cold weather. Lived in FL for a while and didn't like hot all the time either. Guess I'm just hard to please.

I LOVE LOVE your word splash ..gives me so many ideas for my journal... I love your creativity..I am with you..I'd retire up north or at least to the mountains here instead of where there is alot of heat .. you must have humidity like us and if I remember there like I think I do it was a quite humid summer we visited .. great set Julie :)

Ok, these are cute ;) I've been dying to visit Alaska... if I ever take a cruise (never really wanted to take a cruise), it would be an Alaskan cruise... with a glass-ceiling train ride thru the Kodiak countryside as an add-on. Hubby says, 'no thanks'. Maybe we shoudl go! lol
