Yes, under the cherry tree again. I am just so drawn to it. The petals look like flowery snow beneath the tree and on the street.

The last time I was at my Mom's house, I came across these old gardening tools that had belonged to my grandmother. She had bought them with intentions of creating a flower garden, but it never came to pass. You see, I come from a family of botanically challenged folk. We like the beauty of plants and the idea of a garden, but we didn't inherit the quintessential green thumb.

However, several years ago I took it upon myself to immerse myself into the world of plants, flowers, and gardens. I read gardening books and interviewed accomplished gardeners including my mother-in-law. Through trial and error, I learned what worked well for me and my little flower bed. Now gardening is a pastime that, for me, relieves stress and yields joy. Another plus is that it burns a lot of calories.

Cheers to all,
Julie
