For sixteen years I have lived in the small town of Boynton located in Ringgold, Georgia. Boynton sits between the cities of Ringgold and Ft. Oglethorpe. Most of my time is spent in the city of Fort Oglethorpe, so it is spotlighted as Part One of Where I Live.

Don't misunderstand. Fort O is also a very modern town. We have a Super Walmart, and a Starbucks just recently opened. This county is one of the fastest growing counties in Georgia. This fall a third high school will be opening. My kids are really excited, because they will attending this brand new school. I'm sure I will post pictures of it when it opens:)

I grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee which is about 12 miles from here, but I am a true Georgia girl through and through:)

Very interesting!! I knew I had heard Chickamaugua Park somewhere. I have been periodically off and on transcribing Camp Life of Company K - 1898 (Spanish American War) for addition at one of my genealogy websites. It details the time spent in camp during the Spanish American War by men from Palo Alto Co, Iowa - Palo Alto Co being where my dad's family settled after emigrating from Ireland.
