What a beautiful day! I know I was a partial observer, but this wedding was joyous and simply beautiful. Well, you know how every wedding has a "glitch" or "blooper?" There was no exception here. Here's the story:

About an hour before the wedding, I moseyed into the sanctuary to snap some pictures of the flowers and candelabras on the stage. When I was finished, I turned around and attempted to walk down the three steps at the alter, but the success of this tiny feat was not meant to be. I stumbled, and all my weight went onto the top of my right foot which was twisted around to the floor.....ouch! I tried to walk on it, but the pain was pretty intense, and there was no use inflating the injury. My husband's uncle, Doc, wrapped it up for me, and someone from the church found one functioning crutch. I couldn't be ushered down the aisle as planned, so the new plan was to already have me seated. However, the church was pretty full as I was escorted in by Andrew. I tried to hide behind him as I hopped in - ever so gracefully! I'm sure it was a sight. I also could not light the unity candle, so Kevin did in my stead.

The ceremony was short, simple, and exceptionally sweet. My emotions were pretty much intact (other than being ticked at myself for tripping) until I saw Adam's lips quiver and his eyes tear when Katie's father escorted her in. At this point, the emotional dam broke. Members of the wedding party were tearing up. I could hear sniffles behind me, and I was pretty sniffly-snotty myself. I think I held Kevin's hand so tight, I nearly broke it. After about thirty minutes, the wedding was over and we were all introduced to Adam and Katie Wann.
