Half-birthdays are special!

2008.06.25
Two-year old Andrew

Fast forward fifteen years to seventeen year-old Andrew.

He loves weight training.

Early Christmas morning in 1990, Kevin and I received a very special gift - an 8lb 4oz bouncing baby boy. We named him Julian Andrew, after his mother, Julie Andrea.

For the past seventeen and a half years he has brought us so much joy. He is witty beyond his years, passionate about sports and video games, a fighter for the underdogs in life, and he loves his family fiercely.

Since he was born on Christmas Day, it is often hard to celebrate his birthday the way we would like, so we always try to recognize his half-birthday.

So.......Happy Half-Birthday, Andrew!!

MHJphotos This is AWESOME! He sounds like a very fine young man, who's been brought up the right way.

What a great idea to recognize him every 6 months. I do imagine his birthday getting 'lost' otherwise.

Rogermay wow ! What a tribute! Yes credit to you both. I firmly believe a child needs both the parents' love in their upbringing, and will appreciate that forever. Family values do matter!
Great Post.

oldbabe Awww. What a sweet post. He sounds like a dream son. And he's dreamy- looking too.
I agree - that would not be fun to have a b'day on Christmas.
Good idea - a half-day! (I've gone to no day b'days).

TheCrazyCroat What a wonderful and good looking son you have. I think it's great you celebrate his half b-day. Seems those holiday b-days get lost in the shuffle a bit.
