Well, here are the 5th Grade Dance pictures. As Tracy said, it was difficult to get quality photos due to the lighting, but as you can see, the kids had a wonderful time. Don't they just look gorgeous! I took a lot of portraits for the parents, and I didn't have to guide the kids too much. They acted as though they posed for cameras all the time.
I read a couple of the students' posts on myspace and it made me realize even more how much this dance means to them.
The following is an excerpt from a student's blog:
I got 2 go 2 my 1st formal school gala. It was so much fun!!! I wa so glad dat I got 2 stay da whole time! It was the best day of my life and i actually danced w/ a boy but just 4 a little while.
Best day of her life....sniff, sniff....
Seeing the kids all glammed up, watching them have a great time, and reading their words make all the hard work well worth it!
