A Different Ray of Sunshine

In Melbourne it is freezing, summer has gone and winter is settling in for the next few months. I haven't had any inspiration over the past month to photograph anything - work has been overwealming and time there just does not seem to be enough of. It is dark when I go to work and when I come home.

Today I found my inspiration again when I came across this yellow rose - a different ray of sunshine. I had to get out my camera which had been sitting under my bed for a month and just start snapping away. It felt great! Thank goodness the inspiration has come back :)

yeah..the end of daylight savings is a real downer isnt it?!......Sounds like taking a little break was the perfect thing to do...hopefully this stunning rose and gorgeous image in the tart of some new found inspiration which keeps rolling on out.. :)

Beautiful yellow rose. Keep up the best you can with the photos. The winter unfolds a new set of things to photgraph. Even if it seems mundane to you it will be something new to the rest of us located in other parts of the world!

It's wonderful to see you back Steph :) I'd been wondering where you were and if all was well in your world. I think it's great that you allowed the inspiration to happen naturally, rather than trying to force it and put up photos you felt no connection to. Just looking at this shot, which is well-composed and has lovely light, it's evident that your feelings are really in it...
