Sun Rays

It was just mid-morning
alone I was driving
along the usual way
when after a turn
all up and around
were rays from the sun
coming out to play.
They pierced
through every treetop
the met every rooftop
they touched my heart
with their soft-bright light.
In a wonderful way
were they celebration rays.
