Through me you pass into the city of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal pain:
Through me among the people lost for aye.
Justice the founder of my fabric moved:
To rear me was the task of power divine,
Supremest wisdom, and primeval love.
Before me things create were none, save things
Eternal, and eternal I shall endure.
All hope abandon, ye who enter here.”
― Dante Alighieri, The Divine Comedy
Descente aux Enfers. PLus lourd est le péché plus grand est le numéro du cercle qui rapproche de Lucifer ! Magistralement bien vu
i think that's the problem with hell... it's hard to depict the eternal pain and suffering that it promises to the sinner, especially because all suffering and pain we already know on earth is terrible enough. thus, hell depictions always become something ridiculously funny.
