Colors of the Day
by Absent Minded

In the morning the colors are dim,
beautiful but faint for a time.

In the afternoon all colors grow and dance
like country wind.

In the evening those same colors shout
carrying on like children.

At night our colors dim again
dissolving like canyons against the tide.
