Fate vs free will

Is our path laid out before us,
or is it something that we choose?
Are we guaranteed a victory,
is success just ours to lose?

How much free will do we have,
if any after all,
it seems when things are on the up,
that is when we fall.

Is that the way its meant to be?
A life of ups and downs,
ever shifting waters,
in which we're doomed to drown?

Or do the choices that we make,
determine how life goes?
I'd like to think this is the case,
but who amongst us knows?

I once had a discussion with another Pber about the term "free will" and I dont think he liked my theory :))) it's a lovely idea to think we have it though....I like the green and blue hues in this shot...and the intersecting lines that personify the struggle one might find when making choices...Very cool post Tonio! Such a wonderful picture and such an interesting question Antonio. I have wondered about that many times. Looking back at the choices I have made so far, it seems all choices have provided me with the oppertunity to learn and to become a (little:)) wiser. I hope I will continu to grow.
