Big Eyes

Even as a child
You always had those bright, big eyes
And what I wouldn't give now to see
Those bright, big eyes again
I was never a good match
Still settled just to hear you laugh
But even in your widest smile
Your eyes were fixed on your lost child
How can someone who emits such light
Be magnetized to their demise
I wish I had the chance to tell you
The abyss has stared back at me too

Enquanto a cara é a nossa máscara, os olhos são o espelho da alma. É um poema muito triste sobre a perda de uma criança ou da própria criança interior. Os "olhos" da imagem não me parecem alegres nem tristes, são inexpressivos, o nariz acrescenta um que de graça. :) Unchained · 2012-05-29: 04:02
