No not offended Annah, that was reality back then, and most went to food. What I would like is to now about is those beautiful baseballs behind Evan - that looks like quite a collection. The reason is that 4 of my uncles were recently inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Frame where Babe Ruth was inducted. Babe started his baseball career in Toronto and hit his first home run in 1914 at age 19. We were so proud that my Uncles were honoured in this manner as my Aunt's were provided with an acknowledment dinner with member of the Blue Jays. The Asahi Japanese Baseball Team played through WWII here in Canada. I love every shot you took here Annah, they are clear and crisp and they show the details of your excellent collection of artifacts!! This is an exceptional posts on these items!! - Art

LOL,I am at work now. I have clicked to open your blog and left my desk. I came back 2 min later to be greeted by #1 photo. My co-workers think now that I got some strang fetish for stuffed animals.....who on earth looks at picture of stuffed wild boar during working hours?! Thanks a lot, hehe. I love #4, not only your baseball collection looks very impressive I like how you managed to capture the movement. I guess it was purely accidental but it looks like a biker is trying to get off of Evan's T-Shirt. What is it on the last image? Pav

Pav, those are some ivory statues that my Grandparents brought back from Alaska. I have no idea what they are :), but they look cool. My Grandfather gave the wild boar head to my Grandmother as a Mothers Day gift. He thinks he is so funny :)

Something tells me that the animals would be dead by now anyway! I love your perspective on the first shot, but Evan is so cute that I can't help liking that shot best.

These are just beautiful shots. For the age of these mounts they are in remarkable shape! I just love the ivory figures in the last photo, beautiful.

If you had posted only the first one, I would have been shocked. Coz it did scare me to think how close to this beast you might be to get such a shot. Great set anyway.
