Worry not Annah - this is a post worth doing, in North America, including Canada! Voices have been muzzled, for exactly the same fear you talk about - this is when I voice my opinion the most - not too politically correct, but who gives a sweet crap! Words have to said, to do exactly that again, to stand up for freedon of speech and freedom expression, and the freedom to assemble, and I wish more people would atand up to what they believe in their heart is RIGHT, and to be counted, and without living in fear from our governement - let freedom ring loud aand clear and let change the course of history! For I am the product of the 60's and I was involved to the hilt! Thank for this opportunity Annah, to say my piece, for I love my country far too much to sit idly by to be controlled!! - Sincerely, Art Okawara, A Proud Canadian

Thank you Annah, I am proud that you re-opened this discussion. You will not always get a positive response and that is what the freedom of speech is all about - the freedom to disagree, the freedom to state and opinion!! There are countries that do not have this freedom, but in North America, we have that right, and not one, not the government, not any self interest group can stop that - I hope we remain this way, and I would not like to see it any other way. Let people disagree with me - that's OK, but do it rationally and not full of hate and anger!! Thanks again Annah for you individual courage!! - Again from Art Okawara, A proud Canadian living in a Great Land with all of my freedoms intact!

Last night when we were driving into Hollywood and I saw all the murals that had grafitti on them, I was sad. I know that's not what your post is about but I wonder how sad the artist of that mural feels to see his/her work painted over like that.

*smile never apologize for uttering less than shiny thoughts. the first amendment's freedom to speak your mind is such a brilliant liberty; exercising it is celebrating it.
