Berlin Part 2 - Modern Architecture
2012.03.04
Berlin is a very interesting city. Both historically and culturally. But I also found it interesting architecturally. The modern mixes with the antique, the grey blocks mix with the great glass towers. This creates a unique atmosphere, which I personally admire.
A great example of this "mix" can be the building of Bundestag. The outside with greek collumns has absolutely nothing to do with the extra-modern inside.
Here are photos from the inside, which made a great impression on me, although I'm not normally a great fan of this type of architecture. I also include one picture of the Holocaust Memorial, simply because the colours fit.
