The mother of all strikes
There was no rain...just a bit windy...my balcony door was closed...to keep bad weather out...I ignored all signs and continued to concentrate on some power hitting by England...Saturday night...I was supposed to go out with my gang to the disco later...The lightning started...all of a sudden...I ignored it and turned my back towards the balcony...the batting was getting better and better...If this was England 20-20 team, I thought they were pretty good...Suddenly all hell broke loose...There were loud claps of thunder...so loud...I turned up the volume defiantly...I was wondering whether I was supposed to go get my camera and shoot them like one of our fellow-photobloggers...but laziness overpowered me...this continued for 15 minutes more...that's when I could not stand the thunder and the flashing any more...I grabbed my camera and set up the tripod within a minute...(that's quite fast for a sloth bear)...and started shooting...Automode, Night Scenery, Manual...and I got nothing...it was just too quick and I had shot around 100 photos already!! Frustration!! And then I decided to go for Shutter Priority mode...I changed to a quicker speed and triggered the shots when I saw the lightning. The problem was that I had no idea where to point the camera at...it's a wide harbour!! But finally, I got her...the mother of all strikes...
She is such a beauty!!

PS - This is an untouched photo...no HDR...no touch up...hope you enjoy it.
