i've been planting vegetable seeds the last couple months and growing as many tomatoes, peppers, and herbs to get a jump start on spring. Seed saving from last year has given me several varieties to choose from and some old seed stock is being replanted since the germination rate of the older varieties dwindles quickly.
The Cherokee Purple Heirloom has a deep purple color inside and out and has a much richer taste. The organic approach definitely shows in the taste and freshness when you bite into one of these. It is amazing to really watch the cycle of life - the wonder and miracle of a tiny seed turn into a beautiful fruiting vine.
