Friends Home

I'm at odds with this image, out of a tragedy of a friend losing years of video work. I had never seen a fire before, I couldn't believe the work involved. Secondly, the water needed to get this fire under control, That was one inferno. That was what I wanted to capture. On the other side is a friends loss of work and her home, So I'll be deleting this image after today. JgA

excellent ! the light is amazing .. weird thing too i was shooting in a NYFD house yesterday .

I hope everyone is safe. It's an excellent shot.

My grandfather was a fire chief for many years, so I grew up going to fires... looking back it seems like an odd thing to have done.

i hope you can change your mind and leave the photo up.
i feel very bad for your friend and i know that you do too.
i just had a hard time with telling you how wonderful the shot was when i was thinking sad thoughts about the friend and fire.
actually the subject matter is wonderful, because they are people that are there to help...and the photo is brilliant. i think it should stand. i wish i could give your friend a big hug.

i grew up in a small town...and we would always go to fires....just like dancing dolphin. i think it is hard not to go and be involved when many men of the town are fighting the fire and since it was a small town, we always knew the people and gathered there. even in the middle of the night. a strange thing...i can see why we have odd feelings about it...wanting to see the fire on the one hand and feeling the loss of someone we know on the other.
